We want to take a minute to extend our condolences to the family of Congressman Jim Hagedorn.
His wife announced his death this morning, at the age of 59.
He represented a rural district in Minnesota. He was first elected in 2019, and announced in the summer that he had kidney cancer. Last month he was diagnosed with COVID.
Congressman Hagedorn was a friend to agriculture, advocating for rural broadband and livestock risk insurance.
His wife posted to social media: “I miss you. I feel empty without you. I will forever be holding your hand.”
