Countdown to Convention: Country Star Chancey Williams Shares How FFA Shaped His Career in Rodeo and Music

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (RFD-TV) — With just one day to go until the National FFA Convention & Expo kicks off in Indianapolis, RFD-TV is continuing its Countdown to Convention presented by Culver’s — highlighting the incredible talent coming out of the National FFA Organization over the years.

One of those standout members is country music artist Chancey Williams — a former saddle bronc rider turned performer from Moorcroft, Wyoming. Williams joined the program to talk about how his time in FFA helped shape his career in both rodeo and music.

Williams is one of only two artists to have both ridden and performed at Cheyenne Frontier Days, one of the most iconic events in Western culture. He has also graced the stage at legendary venues, including the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas.

As a proud FFA alum, Williams says the organization taught him discipline, leadership, and confidence — skills that have carried him from the rodeo arena to the recording studio.
