Dairy Month Spotlight: Wisconsin Family Keeps Holstein Legacy Flowing Across Generations

Hildebrandt Family Farms combines multi-generational farming with a hands-on approach to herd management.

HUSTISFORD, Wis. (RFD News) — Farming is hard work, and that’s a lesson the Hildebrandt family knows well.

Holstein Association USA is highlighting Hildebrandt Family Farms, a multi-generational dairy operation in Wisconsin where every month is Dairy Month.

Ty Hildebrandt says the cows on the operation are fed individually, and each has its own stall. He says that attention to detail helps the family know each animal on a personal level.

“We know them on an individual basis. They’re not just a number to us. Every cow that we have has a name.”

For the Hildebrandts, the operation represents generations of hard work and a commitment to the future of dairy farming.
