Don Williams, country music’s “Gentle Giant,” will be honored with a celebration of life ceremony on Wednesday, September 27 at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Doors will open at 4:00 PM CT and the memorial service will begin at 4:30. In lieu of flowers, the Williams family asked fans to donate to MusiCares or Music Alliance or a charity of your choice.
Over his career, Williams amassed hits like “I Believe in You,” “Tulsa Time,” “It Must Be Love” and “Lord, I Hope This Day is Good.” He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010. Williams died on September 8 after a brief illness.
