How a Trip to Wyoming Changed Everything for RanchHER Caroline George Larson

RanchHER Caroline George Larson joins us to discuss her journey into ranching and publishing, storytelling in agriculture, and her upcoming chat on Dirt Diaries: The FarmHER + RanchHER podcast.

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (RFD NEWS) — Season 2 of Dirt Diaries is here. The weekly podcast spotlights the stories of women in agriculture, and the next episode features author and RanchHER Caroline George Larson.

Larson joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report to share more about her life and give us a sneak peek of what viewers can expect from her conversation with host Kirbe Schnoor on the FarmHER + RanchHER podcast when the new episode drops tomorrow.

In her conversation with RFD News, Larson shared how a chance visit to Wyoming introduced her to ranching and sparked a desire to learn more about the industry, despite having no prior ag background.

Larson discussed her background in publishing and how a lifelong dream of becoming a writer led to a three-book deal with HarperCollins. She also explained her transition from writing fiction to working in Western agriculture, which allowed her to build a career that blends storytelling with ranch life.

She emphasized the importance of storytelling in agriculture and how producers can use authenticity on social media to connect with the public and share their operations.

Finally, Larson reflected on her experience balancing ranch work, writing, and running a western marketing agency.
