WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD News) — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a proposal that would allow certain livestock operations to restrict drone flights over their facilities.
Advocacy groups are urging the agency to reject the plan, arguing it would make it harder to document manure spills, disease outbreaks and livestock housing conditions.
Agricultural groups supporting the proposal say additional restrictions are needed to improve security and protect livestock facilities.
The FAA is accepting public comments before issuing a final decision.
