WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD NEWS) — The House Agriculture Committee is expected to release legislative text for a new Farm Bill on Friday.
Committee Chairman, Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA) has referred to the proposal as “Farm Bill 2.0,” noting that previous budget legislation, such as the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act (OBBBA) and the November Continuing Resolution, addressed some funding components, but says additional policy work remains.
Thompson has said he hopes to move the bill to markup during the final week of the month.
