Ford has now shipped more than 1 million face shields

Ford says it has now shipped more than 1 million face shields to health care workers across the country as hospitals remain desperate for protective equipment amid the coronavirus pandemic.

About 20 percent of those shields have been delivered to New York and New Jersey, where cases our especially high.

United Auto Workers are are able to make one face shield every 10 seconds and have a goal of producing and shipping 750,000 weekly.

The face shields are used to protect worker’s faces from infected patients.
