April 18 marked the beginning of National Parks Week. While the parks may be shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic, you can still go on a virtual tour as an alternative way to feel the sights and sounds of America’s National Parks.

Children and adults alike can see the photos and learning materials about the parks, view live webcams and even experience the sounds through Parktrack’s audio experience.

The National Park Foundation even has an online junior ranger program that allows young people to explore, learn and protect the National Parks. It is complete with an oath to protect the land and badges can even be earned online.

In 2019, America’s 419 parks saw more than 327 million visitors.
