George Strait raises more than $6 million with his Texas flood relief benefit concert

The legendary George Strait is giving back to his home state of Texas after the recent floods devastated parts of the state.

He and his businessman Vaqueros del Mar have raised more than $6 million with his “Strait to the Heart” benefit concert that took place over the weekend. The event featured performances from fellow country artists, including Garth Brooks, Riley Green, Randy Houser, and many more.

The night was both a tribute to the region’s resilience and a fundraiser to provide immediate aid to families affected by the catastrophic flooding.
