In Georgia, the poultry industry’s production remains steady. The state produces around 31 million pounds of chicken and 7 million table eggs a day. The industry has been working closely with health officials and the USDA; plants have also been implementing barriers at work stations and taking break rooms outside.
The cattle sector has taken its auctions to the internet to abide with social distancing regulations.
