Good News: Healthier supply of fertilizers is on its way

Rabobank says the growers in the U.S. and Brazil could expect a healthier supply of fertilizers.

A new Rabobank review indicates that growers can expect a healthier supply of fertilizers compared to last year.

It also shows prices could trend lower as well for phosphates and potash as the war in Ukraine continues. The group says the two fertilizers are flowing more steadily out of Russia, and U.S. supplies are “comfortable enough.”

Nitrogen prices, however, are forecast to increase 20-30 percent at the wholesale level between now and the end of the year.
