Nashville, Tenn. (RFD-TV) Greenwich a small rural town in Washington County New York will hold it’s fifth annual “Lighted Tractor Parade” this weekend, Saturday, November 18, 2017.
This year’s parade will have sixty plus tractors and about half of the tractors will be pulling a float behind them. In order to be apart of the parade, you must decorate your tractor with a minimum of a thousand lights and if you choose to pull a float, that will need to have an additional thousand lights. Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce President, Suzanne Becker, spoke to RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison saying, “most of the tractors have closer to five thousand lights on them.”
The parade committee developed a “Parade Scholarship” program. Each year the parade committee awards one scholarship to an FFA student who is going into an agricultural field.
