GT Thompson says that there is still work to be done on the 2023 Farm Bill
There is a lot of work to still be done on the 2023 Farm Bill. That is according to House Ag Committee ranking member GT Thompson.
He says that the committee needs a “more aggressive schedule,” noting that the last rewrite included 130 hearings and listening sessions. He tells Brownfield Ag News that they should go title-by-title with a hearing dedicated to each one.
He says that those meetings should also include USDA testimony on over-site and implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill.
