Convention is an exciting time for all FFA members and Advisors. For many attendees, this is often the first overnight trip for a school function. There is so much to take in, and not much time to do it – just three days to see and do as many things and eat at as many places as possible.
1. National FFA Convention App – Free
Plan out all the booths you need to visit and find the location for your favorites. Plan out your schedule, and check out the map so you don’t end up in the wrong spot. Find delicious food close to the convention center to keep up your energy during these exhilarating 3 days.

2. Hall of States – Free
Located in the Convention Center near the exhibitor booths. Local chapters from each state bring samples of the best that the agricultural industry in their area has to offer and shares them with the rest of the nation. Check out all the states and explore the varying sectors of agriculture.
3. National FFA Talent Competitions –Free – Bankers Life Fieldhouse
Have some downtime in the afternoons? Head over to Bankers Life Fieldhouse and check out the talent that FFA members have. WOW! From singing and yodeling to dancing and playing musical instruments – there is never a shortage of gifted participants. Cheer on other FFA members and enjoy a great show.
4. Student Workshops – Free – Various rooms
Learn something new or find a topic that interests you. Further, explore career paths or learn how to advocate for agriculture. There are numerous options to choose from during all three days, and they are guaranteed to be fun and informative.
5. Food – Varying Costs
From Harry & Izzy’s to Jimmy Johns, The Old Spaghetti Factory, and more – there are plenty of spots to eat any style of food you love or want to try. The convention app allows users to add reviews so other members can let you know how the food is.
6. Tours – Varying costs
There are tons of businesses and farms within a reasonably short distance from convention. From Fair Oaks Farms to Kokomo Opalescent Glass, Broken Wagon Bison and Falling Waters Farm. Getting to see various farms and agricultural operations is always fun. Learn about hydroponics, glass blowing, artificial insemination and more through a variety of tours.
7. Colleges and Universities - Free
You might not be ready to go to college just yet, but meeting college students and professors is extremely helpful when you have questions or don’t know what you would want to go for. Every school has its own feel and offers its own unique programs of study. Get a taste of colleges and universities all over the US by walking through this area and speaking with the representatives. Occasionally, they’ll even give you school swag if you talk to them and learn about their programs.
8. Live Stream of Convention – Free
Can’t make it to the convention this year? Don’t miss the fun and important business from the sessions. RFD-TV will be broadcasting live and streaming online from convention all three days, for gavel-to-gavel coverage.
