There is a push in California to get the COVID vaccine to all farmworkers.
House lawmakers Jim Costa and Jimmy Panetta sent a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsome saying that the need for rapid vaccination is clear, but most farmworkers do not feel safe getting the shot, or do not have access to it.
Congressman Costa wrote, “As vaccines are distributed across our state, we must ensure everyone has access to a vaccine that needs it. Our essential farmworkers are no exception.”
