The National Restaurant Association says that it will take another year before the food service can fully recover.
A state of the industry report shows 96 percent of operators saw supply delays or shortages last year, and they predict that will continue this year.
The group says that input costs are straining margins and many facilities are severely understaffed. About half of the restaurant operators say that recruiting and retaining employees will be their biggest challenge this year.
