Following the death of her husband, country singer Joe Diffie, Tara Diffie took to Instagram to share her heartbreak along with the final photo the couple snapped together.
“Our last picture together. I love you so much @officialjoediffie You were the love of my life,” she wrote in the caption.
Joe and Tara married in May of 2018 and Tara had a Joe Diffie mullet tattoo. She was a fan of his and her favorite song is “Better off Gone,” which she shared in a 2019 interview with the Bobby Bones Show.
Condolences and tributes for Joe Diffie poured in Sunday night after his death was announced he had died because of complications from COVID-19.
We are feeling it now. Oklahoma boy Joe Diffie has passed away from this virus. My kids grew up around his parents. My prayers will be with his family. A great traditional voice will live on cuz I’m putting his music on now. Here’s a beer to ya, Joe. Go get your reward. -T
