Serves 8-10 people
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of cornmeal
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of soda
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 3/4 to 1 cup of milk butter
Instructions:
Combine all dry ingredients. Add egg, milk, and onions. Mix well. Drop in deep hot fat by spoonfuls and brown on all sides
