A Kansas father is honoring the memory of his son by creating a massive sign for his son’s favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs Fox 4 KC reports.
Bob Specht told Fox 4 he created the sign in memory of his son, Carl, who took his own life at the age of 27 in 2017. Specht said if his son were alive they would have done something like this together.
“I think about him all the time, and I just knew that if I did something like this and he was still with me, that he would be right beside me,” Specht said to Fox 4 News.
The family also created Carl’s Cause in his memory. The nonprofit hopes to change the future of mental health by combating stigma, creating awareness, and connecting people with the resources they need.
