The Legislative Showmanship at the Kansas State Fair is always a crowd pleaser, and this year was no exception!

Kansas legislators took a crash course in showing market steers, under the mentorship of 4-H and FFA members. This program not only helps connect legislators with agriculture but also connects the youth in ag to their legislators.

This year’s Legislative Showmanship winner was Representative Stephen Owens. His mentors were Kinsley Gillig and Josie Beltz.

The Reserve Showman went to Representative Tracey Mann; his mentors were Kirby Koones and Brooke Stine.

The Kansas State Fair runs until September 18th.
