Apples are generally considered a fall fruit, but some varieties ripen in mid-summer. As part of “Kentucky Farms Feed Me” series, we take a visit to an orchard in the the “Bluegrass State”.
Kylie Hilton speaks with Mulberry Orchard’s Matt Gajdzik about his 4,000 apple and peach trees. His operation is home to 17 different varieties of apples and 17 varieties of peaches. The orchard sales their apples whole, they make them into apple pies, apple dumplings, apple cider, and many other snacks.
