Kroger announces $130 million in “Thank you” pay for store employees

The nation’s largest grocery store chain is showing its appreciation for its employees with another round of “thank you” payments to those working during the coronavirus pandemic.

The one-time bonus is $400 for full-time employees and $200 for part-time employees. In total, it will be $130 million.

“Our associates have been instrumental in feeding America while also helping to flatten the curve during the initial phases of the pandemic. To recognize and thank our associates for their incredible work during this historic time, we offered special pay in March, April and May,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO.
