Late night developments on COVID stimulus
A late night meeting on Capitol Hill brought some progress in getting a COVID stimulus agreement.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said that the legislation will likely be attached to the omnibus spending bill.
The proposed deal includes $13 billion dollars directly to agriculture. That includes $600 million dollars for fishery disaster relief and additional rural development funding for water infrastructure.
There is some flexibility built-in for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and there is money for several rural broadband efforts.
