Landowners in the path of carbon pipelines are not the only ones asking for a delay in permits. Some members of Congress are hoping for the same until safety regulations are finalized.
The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is still working on them, and more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers are asking the President to use executive action to halt federal permits until those are complete.
