PORT ALLEN, La. (TWILA) — Louisiana 4-H is helping young riders build safe ATV habits through a hands-on course focused on proper riding techniques and safety.
The program teaches participants how to inspect their ATVs, wear the proper safety gear and safely operate their vehicles. Organizers say the training is designed to help reduce injuries by giving young riders the knowledge and confidence to ride safely.
Officials say the course also serves as a good introduction before students begin driver’s education.
