NEW ORLEANS, La. (RFD News) — Several Louisiana farm families were inducted into the Century Farm program during the Louisiana Farm Bureau State Convention, recognizing a century of farming across multiple generations.
While those who established many of the farms are no longer living, family members gathered to honor the generations that built and sustained the operations. Despite economic challenges facing agriculture, the families hope their farms will continue for another century.
As part of the ceremony, the family farms received a certificate and a display sign recognizing their long-term commitment to Louisiana agriculture.
