Grain growers find renewed strength thanks to foreign demand for U.S. meat. That is as corn farmer’s biggest customer, America’s livestock industry, continues to succeed in the global market.
Dean Meyer, the Director of the Iowa Corn Growers Association, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on the trends in U.S. meat demand and the value of cross-market collaboration.
Meyer states, “Exports continue to rise out of the pandemic. Eastern Asian countries, I believe, they already had online sales... they just exploded and we’re able to maintain, even though there were markets that were shutdown... It’s been real pleasing there... because of trade agreements we’ve got with those countries, we’ve been able to have free access... We’re real pleased that exports have been really good...”
