Drew Gill
Mount Carmel, IL
With a name like Gill, it should come as no surprise that Drew lives and breathes fishing. Before going pro, he qualified for the MLF College Fishing Championship every year he had the chance. He went on to place third in the 2022 and 2023 Toyota Series Championship. Then in 2023 he was named the Toyota Series Plains Division Angler of the Year and was runner-up for Invitationals Rookie of the Year. Gill made his Bass Pro Tour debut with a third-place finish at Stage One on Toledo Bend and he continued to turn heads his rookie year by winning Stage Five on the Chowan River in 2024. Gill capped off the 2024 season as Rookie of the Year, finishing fourth in the 2024 Bass Pro Tour standings. Gill proved his versatility in 2025 by winning Stage 3 on Lake Murray when the Bass Pro Tour transitioned to only allowing forward-facing sonar during one period each day.
FUN FACT
Gill didn’t start tournament fishing until a year before college. He loves saltwater fishing and says he’s covered enough water while using a LiveScope on the trolling motor to travel from Washington D.C. to San Francisco with miles to spare.
