Country singer Miranda Lambert’s foundation, MuttNation, will donate more than $80,000 for animal shelter and rescue efforts in Tennessee.

MuttNation has a goal of ending animal, cruelty, neglect and homelessness. Tornadoes caused more than $1 billion in damage in Tennessee in March of 2020.

“We knew people needed to come first, but MuttNation is here because we have to watch over the animals, too,” Miranda said in a statement to Nash Country Daily. “My heart is filled with both sadness for everyone who suffered—and with gratitude for everyone who has stepped up.

Overall, more than $40,000 was donated MuttNation and those donations were matched by Tractor Supply Co. Funds will go to shelters and rescue operations throughout the state.
