NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD News) — The Nashville Stampede is back in Music City this weekend for Stampede Days at Bridgestone Arena, bringing three days of PBR Teams competition to Nashville.
Head coach and two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride and bull rider Ky Hamilton joined us on Thursday’s Market Day Report as the team enters its homestand on a seven-game winning streak. The Stampede has won seven of its first eight games after dropping its season opener.
In their conversation with RFD News, McBride discussed matching riders with bulls and the preparation that goes into building a successful team. Hamilton, who joined the Stampede through this year’s draft, said the team format has brought more camaraderie to a sport traditionally centered on individual competition.
McBride also discussed his transition from bull rider to coach, saying much of his role now focuses on helping riders with preparation and the mental side of the sport.
Stampede Days will also include activities outside Bridgestone Arena, with bulls on hand and riders signing autographs before the event.
