HUDSON OAKS, Texas (RFD News) — Texas auctioneer Troy Robinett is advancing to the World Livestock Auctioneer Championship after earning top honors at a recent qualifier in Oklahoma.
Robinett, the reigning Reserve World Champion, joined us on Thursday’s Market Day Report to discuss the competition and his career in the industry.
In his conversation with RFD News, Robinett said he began his career after graduating from the Missouri Auction School in 2009 and has competed in the championship for five years. He says the competition has also connected him with auctioneers from across the country.
Two more qualifiers are scheduled in South Carolina and California before 31 contestants compete for the world championship in June 2027.
