The pandemic has disrupted the ag sector and now farmers are left wondering “What’s next?”, after Congress fails to reach an agreement about a new round of aid.
National Milk Producers Federation’s Alan Bjerga speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on the “skinny” bill not passing and what future aid is possible, as well as USMCA. “We can’t 100 percent give up on the chance that any aid package might be passed. Indeed, the latest move has been discouraging,” he notes. “Still there is reason to think that there will be additional assistance for producers. This is because in an earlier coronavirus aid package there was authority given to the USDA, already, to do some spending that can go into the next fiscal year.”
