NCBA on expanding processing capacity heading into 2021

Following lessons learned from the pandemic, beef producers are focusing on expanding processing capacity heading into the new year.

National Cattlemen’s Beef Associations Tanner Beymer speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on the value of expanding and how we have bounced back since the start of the pandemic.

“Increasing processing capacity has really become a top priority for the beef industry and the cattle industry, as well, in order to help cushion ourselves against future reductions in processing capacity, if that were to happen,” Beymer states. “Ultimately, we want to have more hook space to increase the competition and ultimately, create a better price environment for our members.”
