Ned Beatty, “the busiest actor in Hollywood,” passes away at 83

Actor Ned Beatty has passed away at the age of 83. He was best known for his work in Deliverance and Superman.

The Oscar-nominated actor passed due to natural causes on Sunday. He was surrounded by family.

He grew up in Kentucky and loved the outdoors. According to the Shelter Entertainment Group, “He started as a professional performer at age ten when he earned pocket money singing in gospel quartets and a barber shop.”

His first major role was in Deliverance (1972). Four years later he was nominated for an Academy Award for his work in Network. His other works include All the President’s Men, The Big Easy, Hear My Song, The Walker, Toy Story 3, Shooter, and many more credits. His career saw him on the big screen, television, and the stage.
