A New Hampshire father who “never harmed an animal” killed a coyote after it dragged it attacked his 2-year-old son.
According to CNN, Ian O’Reilly used his body weight to suffocate the animal while holding its snout shut. He called the entire thing a “weird experience.”
“I was able to get its head into the snow and get my hand around its snout, so it could no longer bite me,” he told WCVB. “And then, from there, I was able to suffocate it by using my body weight and scissor-locking it until basically expiring.”
O’Reilly was bit twice in the process.
There is speculation that the same coyote attacked another person in the nearby town of Kensington just hours before.
