Ole House Farms LLC is #stillfarming in Alabama.

The farm is run by Brenda and Tim White as a smaller operation in Loxley, Alabama growing sweet corn and potatoes. The White’s have 15 acres total and use 5.5 of them for potatoes for table stock and another 3 acres for sweet corn.

“A small farming operation like ours keeps us connected to our families and our local community in so many ways,” Brenda said. “We all need each other!”

It is a change of pace from decades early, when Tim grew hundreds of acres of potatoes for Frito Lay.

Now, Ole House Farms serves a few local markets, grocery stores and individuals in Southern Alabama.

“Farming again after 25 years but on a much smaller scale, keeps us grounded and connected to our farming heritage,” Brenda said.

And as you can see, Tim White may not be farming to the scale he used to, but he still appreciates a hard day’s work.
