One last talk is the only hope to extend the Black Sea Grain Deal

It is down to one last hope before the Black Sea Grain Deal expires again. One more round of talks is all that is left to secure an extension.

The presidents of both Russia and Turkey are expected to talk this week. Today, Reuters cited Russia’s RIA news agency saying, “There is no optimism for a deal extension.”

Over the weekend, Turkey’s president said he was pressuring Russia, but president Putin did not take Saturday’s release of five Ukrainian commanders well.
