One Sheriff’s Department pulls off the perfect April Fool’s joke for goat lovers

White County Sheriff’s Department’s pulled off a very good April Fool’s joke this year.

They posted to Facebook, showing a four-week-old pygmy goat will be trained on narcotic detection for their K-9 Division. They say since Diesel is so young and small, he will be able to get into the smaller spaces to effectively conduct his searchers.

Yes, goats are hard workers, but the story is a fallacy. Goats are actually more known for being front-line workers in fire prevention. It is one of the most cost-effective, environmentally sound ways to clear vegetation while promoting growth in scorched areas.
