The peach crop in North Carolina is the best it has seen in about a decade. The North Carolina Farm Bureau introduces us to Lineberger’s Maple Springs Farm and their “you-pick” operation.
According to Ethan Lineberger, the weather this year has made all the difference. They did not deal with a hard freeze like they have had in the past five to six years, which made thinning more optimal. Also, the cool spring weather and relatively low humidity is perfect peach growing weather.
