One of the nation’s largest chicken producers will pay a hefty fine for price-fixing.
Pilgrim’s Pride has pled guilty and will pay a $108 million dollar criminal penalty. It is the first company to plead guilty in the scheme to fix prices and rig bids for broiler chickens.
Other major producers have been charged as well.
