Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after two Hereford cattle, one of which was pregnant, were shot and killed in the southern part of the state.
According to WTAJ, one of the animals was found dead when state troopers arrived and other walked up to the farmer, cried in pain and then fell dead.
The cattle were shot with a rifle between 6 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
The animals were valued at a total of $3,800.
