Poultry producers are turning to propane-powered heat and sanitizing solutions to help prevent the spread of High Path Avian Influenza.
The industry says this method destroys pathogens more reliably than chemical applications.
Propane Education and Research Council’s Mike Newland spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison about how the equipment is helping to lower flock mortality, how producers also rely on propane heating to reduce emissions for better air quality, what a producer should do if they are interested in incorporating this on their operation, if they have a seen an increase in propane demand and if the propane industry has faced any hurdles amid supply chain challenges.
