NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD NEWS) — Mental health in agriculture takes center stage in a new RFD-TV special, “ProtectHER: The Weight We Carry,” hosted by FarmHER + RanchHER host Kirbe Schnoor.

The hour-long special focuses on the emotional challenges facing farmers and ranchers, including stress, isolation, uncertainty, and the pressures that often come with life in agriculture. Through conversations with advocates and leaders connected to the ag community, the program aims to continue an important discussion about mental wellness in rural America.

Guests featured in the special include Jessica Cabrera, Managing Director of American Farm Bureau Federation’s Farm State of Mind initiative; Jeff Winton, Founder and Chairman of Rural Minds; and Rupa Mehta, creator and producer of Perfect Sundays and founder of NaliniKIDS.

Throughout the program, Schnoor and her guests discuss the stigma surrounding mental health in agriculture, the importance of community connection, and resources available to farm and ranch families. The special also highlights how organizations and individuals are working to ensure no one in agriculture feels alone.

The special is part of the ProtectHer initiative, led by FarmHER + RanchHER in partnership with Nationwide, which focuses on safety topics impacting rural families and agricultural communities.
