Canada is set to import a record amount of U.S. ethanol.
Canadian consumption is expected to increase by 8.6 percent this year, according to a report filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network.
To match that need, it is expected to import 1.5 billion liters of U.S. ethanol. However, while Canada is predicted to use more ethanol this year, it is not increased the number of domestic plants.
