Redefining rural America deadline is today

There is an important deadline today in an effort to keep the definition of rural America as it stands.

The Office of Management and Budget is considering increasing the core of metro areas from 50,000 people to 100,000 people.

The change would redefine rural America and add 18,000,000 people to the category. That would have significant impacts on federal funding and programs.

A group of industry advocates has drafted a letter strongly urging OMB to delay action. If you want to sign-on to it, the deadline is today. You can submit it via the Federal Register.
