Refiners file more suits over EPA’s RFS waiver denials

Oil refiners are filing more lawsuits over EPA’s RFS waiver denials.

In the suits filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals, refiners challenged EPA’s June 3rd action denying all remaining economic hardship waiver applications. This follows an earlier series of suits filed by many of the same firms over EPA’s April retroactive denial of waivers.

Back in June, EPA denied 69 small refinery exemption petitions under the RFS program.
