Remembering 9/11 with crop art

An Ohio farmer has made a stunning life-sized tribute to the 20th anniversary of September 11th.

Wilbur Meyer has made field art for years, but this year is the biggest. He knew he had to do something special for this historic day, being a farmer and a volunteer firefighter. The picture is titled ‘God Bless America’ and is 3,500 feet tall and 2,800 feet wide. He writes a script through Ag Leader, they take an image and assign reference points to the picture, which allows them to break it into the multi-hybrid.

Meyer says he has received messages from all over the nation and is humbled by the reaction.

He says, “As a farmer, we’re all patriotic. We all do things in our own way, and I’m lucky to have the technology and the friends to do it.”
