Remembering an Ag Advocate: Robert J. O’Brien’s children discuss his legacy and honor his life

This week, the ag industry lost an advocate whose legacy will continue to be felt across the farm sector.

Robert J. O’Brien Sr. was the RJ O’Brien and Associates Chairman Emeritus, before that he was chair of the CME. He recently passed away at the age of 103 but will be remembered for his impact on the markets which includes delivery of the first cattle contract traded and broadcasting the first live commodity report from the trading room floor.

Two of his children, Robert Jr and Nancy spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison to speak on his legacy and honor his life.
