CONWAY, Ark. (RFD News) — Members of Congress are spending time in their home districts during the summer recess, including U.S. Rep. French Hill, who visited Healthy Flavors to highlight its work bringing locally grown produce into schools and other institutions.
Hill said the operation provides fresh vegetables to K-12 schools while creating another market for Arkansas farmers. Those sales can also support food banks and senior feeding organizations while giving producers opportunities to diversify their crops.
House and Senate lawmakers are expected to return to Capitol Hill early next month.
